The cushion for Defeat and necessary for a community buffer. For a nation to prosper it needs society to grow. Individuals and groups both contribute to it.
Society needs both fast movers who can compete and grow, also the society that needs individuals who can act as building blocks.
Can society survive long on scarce resources and competition only. It’s never easy for all the individuals to compete on one thing to become an ultimate individual. In life not everyone can win the Nobel Prize or become Forbes rich person. Thus competition is necessary but not blind rat race.
The community support, the major thing that should be necessary for those who can’t make it with the competition or those who face the resource crunch. Thus community support is where individuals feel safe and find a home after the trouble. With communities supporting each other even the weakest link will become more efficient and stronger.
Thus Instead of being dependent on one scarce resource let there be a coexistence of both collaboration and competition to survive together like two sides of the same coin.
India where Auroville the eco-friendly city and city of Mumbai the city of dream both exist. The same way in USA where Amish and coastal towns of Newyork and San Francisco exist. By taking above examples as precedence both collaboration and competition must stay together.
