Tribute to Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay on his Birth Anniversary.
Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay was born in Mathura in 1916 his father was railway employee as Assistant Station Master with Astrology knowledge and his mother was a home maker.
His parents passed away before his age 8. Thus he spent his schooling in Sikar. He was meritorious that Maharaja gave him a scholarship.
Later studied in Sanatan Dharma College and completed his BA. During that time he got acquainted with RSS. He met KB Hedgewar Sarsanghchalak and became a life time Pracharak of RSS.
He started Rashtra Dharma Monthly magazine and Panchajanya weekly magazine. He ran Swadesh a daily news paper too.
He was seconded by RSS to Bharatiya Jana Sangh when the party was started by Syama Prasad Mukherjee ji. He was General secretary of Uttar Pradesh and was part of National leadership where he did ground work for party.
In 1967 general election his party became Third largest. He tried non congress coalition as a political experiment.
He worked till his demise under mysterious circumstances in 1968 was selected as president of Party just months before. His death is still a major mystery.
He was a believer of Integral Humanism.He wrote play on Chandragupta Maurya and biography of Jagatguru Adi Shankaracharya. He translated one of the biography of K B Hedgewar.
Thus let’s remember a leader, statesman and Philosopher on his birth Anniversary.
