Tribute to Our Soldiers on Kargil Vijay Diwas.
Kargil war where Pakistan Army under Musharraf and the terrorists collaborated together to intrude in the Kashmir area. Here Kargil was a prominent highway that links Srinagar and Leh then. Thus a Strategic and place of Tactical importance.
Thus the battle started with Indian army sending patrol to investigate on incursion in the border thus the non arrival of Patrol Party and search led to beginning of Kargil War.
Here Pakistan Occupied major points including Tololing, Drass,Batalik,Mushkow Valley and Tiger hills.
Thus Army began operation towards Tololing where Indian army after strategic planning defeated Pakistani Infiltrators in Tololing and recaptured it.
Thus later forces focused on toughest points like Three Pimples, Drass,Batalik and Mushkow also finally capturing most difficult point the Tiger Hill. Here Artillery regiment did covering fire for our forces.
Indian airforce for its part launched operation Safed Sagar.A co-ordinated operation with Indian Army thus leading to success.
Finally Pakistan asked for seize fire under Indian Army’s attacks and Diplomatic pressure thus the war ended with India driving out the Infiltrators.
In this war certain Pakistani combatants died in the war Pakistan initially refused their mortal remains thus Indian Army gave honourable last rites to some of them.
Captain Saurabh Kalia who was captured by Pakistani Intruders along with his men were subjected to inhumane torture before being killed.
USA denied GPS for Indian forces thus Indians adapted to Tactical planning and finally led to Birth of NaVIC system.
Many Indian Brave hearts were awarded with Gallantry Medals and were honoured by Nation.
Thus let’s remember the sacrifice of our Soldiers for this nation.
