Tribute to Chhatrapati Sambaji Maharaj on his Birth Anniversary.
Chhatrapati Sambaji Maharaj was born to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Maharani Saibai. His mother Passed away when he was 2 years of age. Thus his Grandmother Veermata Jijabai took care of him. Later after Treaty of Purandhar he along with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj visited Agra where they kept them in house arrest. Thus Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambaji Maharaj both escaped where both took different routes to reach Raigad. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj made sure he got the best of the education and was part of all palace and Court intrigues.
Later after the death of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj he ascended to Throne of Hindavi Swarajya. He initially destroyed the traitors within.
His Invasion of Burhanpur was such literally sent shivers into Mughal Empire that they have to camp in Deccan.
Aurangzeb later attacked Hindavi Swarajya from different points only to be defeated and Repelled by brave Hindavi Swarajya soldiers under the leadership of Chhatrapati Sambaji Maharaj. He focused on impartial justice and good governance. His friendship with Kavi Kalash was legendary.
In the end he was captured by treachery was subjected to brutal torture by Army of Aurangzeb he stood like a lion and attained a brave matrydom in fighting with enemies.
After his death his younger brother Chhatrapati Rajaram was coronated. His generals Santaji and Danaji continued the battle with Mughals also Aurangzeb was unable to reach his capital and was unable to control Deccan.
