Tribute to Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil on his Birth Anniversary. Ram Prasad Bismil was born in Shahjahanpur he studied basics from his father on Hindi and learnt Urdu from a Maulvi.
He later started visiting Arya Samaj and was talented in writing patriotic poetry. He was inspired by Swami Dayananda Saraswati’s book Satyarth Prakash.On by hearing about death Penalty of Bhai Parmanand he wrote the poem Mera Janm that explained about the necessity to drive British out of Country also his commitment.
During Lucknow Congress session Ram Prasad Bismil and his group of friends gave a grand welcome to Lokamanya Tilak by arranging an Horse carriage. He along with group of youths published book on American Independence in Hindi.
Later he allied with Genda Lal Dixit and began Revolutionary activities from 1918 to 1920 During that time he wrote Deshvasiyon Ke Nam Sandesh, Mainpuri Ki Pratigya was also accused of Mainpuri Conspiracy and judge declared him absconder. He stayed underground from 1919 to 1920 and published many works and Pamplets for inspiring individuals towards struggle for Nation’s independence. In 1920 when entire Mainpuri Conspiracy case prisoners were freed he came back to Shahjahanpur and began his activity with Congress and was part of Non Cooperation movement.
Once when movement was withdrawn after Chauri Chaura incident he formed Hindustan Republican Association with Ashfaqalla Khan, Manmathnathgupta and Rajendranath Lahiri with the manifestato guided by Sachindranath Sanyal.
The HRA became popular with masses they involved in Kakori conspiracy and were arrested by police. After 18 months of legal battle most of HRA members were sent to Gallows.
Later HRA’s remnants under leadership of Chandrasekhar Azad became HSRA along with Many Youngsters including Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev,Rajguru, Batukeshwar Dutt and others continued struggle. Let’s remember the finest freedom fighter on his birth Anniversary.
