Tribute to Shri Rash Behari Bose ji on his Birth Anniversary.

Shri Rash Behari Bose was born in 1886 at Purba Bardhaman District in today’s West Bengal to Binod Behari Bose and Bhubaneshwari Devi.

From his childhood he got to see more of Pandemic and Famines that killed many Indians, these events bought an aversion and hate against the British Rule.

He had his early education in Village Pathshala and later joined Dupleix college in Chandanagore and later had higher education in Kolkata.

He later moved to Dehradun where he joined as a Clerk in Forest Research Institute. He got contact with Anushilan Samiti and Aryasamaj Revolutionaries of United Provinces and Punjab thus the attempt on Viceroy Lord Charles Hardinge was attempted by bombing his elephant still Viceroy managed to Escape and Bose too escaped the issue.

In 1913 he found Bagha Jatin and wanted to help him. He became a major field coordinator for Ghadar Rebellion. Once British began to persecute Ghadarites he escaped India in 1915.

After escaping he reached Japan where British Government pushed for his extradition while with the help of Pan Asian leaders he managed to stay in Japan.

He married Toshiko Soma daughter of Aizo Soma and Kokko Soma one of the prominent entrepreneur and pan Asian leader. There he popularized Curry dish which is more famous in Japan even today.

He had two kids a daughter and Son. While his son Died in service with Imperial Japanese Army during WW2 his daughter survived him.

Later him along with AM Nair started Indian Independence League with the help of expatriate Indians. Then with fall of Singapore He raised Indian National Army. Initially gave command to General Mohan Singh after the fallout he handed over command to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

Thus lived his life as a Journalist, Entrepreneur and Freedom fighter let’s remember him for his sacrifice. He was awarded with Order of Raising Sun by Japanese Government prior to his demise.
